Description

Lemon balm is known for it’s calming and relaxing properties.

It is useful for anxiety, insomnia, ADHD, respiratory complaints, nausea, indigestion and nervous tension.

It also contains an anaesthetic compound that relieves pain.

Lemon balm Hydrosol makes a great wound compress, it relieves pain, helps stop bleeding, and prevents infection.

Lemon Balm calms the skin, is anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant. It is helpful for rashes, irritations, eczema and other skin problems.

Lemon Balm is also known for healing herpes and is anti-viral and anti-fungal.

Applications:

• use in a compress for migraines and stress
• Use as a cooling compress for sunburns or other skin irritations
• can replace water in lotions or cosmetic recipes
• mix with cosmetic clay to produce a clay facial mask
• use as a linen spray with just a spritz on a pillow or bed linen
• use internally for ADHD or combine with Rosemary Hydrosol during study and Neroli during examen
• use undiluted for poison oak or ivy and for herpes

What is a hydrosol?
A hydrosol is the water that is left over when plants are steam-distilled to release their essential oils. Hydrosols contain traces of the essential oil as well as other plant components that are only water-soluble. This makes hydrosols very special, a unique product that can’t be manufactured synthetically. Hydrosols can be used 100% pure, as a face mist, pillow mist, added to skin care products (replacing distilled water), room refresher …. the possibilities are endless. You can even drink hydrosols (diluted) or add it to your cooking.

Hydrosols contain the same plant properties as the essential oil, so can be used for the same applications.

Cautions:

Our hydrosols do not contain preservatives so should be treated as a perishable product. Keep refrigerated to lengthen shelf life. Shelf life varies between 1-2 years.

Store hydrosols away from direct sunlight in amber or dark bottles.

Maintain the integrity of your hydrosols by not allowing unsterilized items like your fingers, cotton balls or other items to come into direct contact with the hydrosols you are storing.
