What is a hydrosol?

A hydrosol is the water that is left over when plants are steam-distilled to release their essential oils. Hydrosols contain traces of the essential oil as well as other plant components that are only water-soluble. This makes hydrosols very special, a unique product that can’t be manufactured synthetically. Hydrosols can be used 100% pure, as a face mist, pillow mist, added to skin care products (replacing distilled water), room refresher …. the possibilities are endless. You can even drink hydrosols (diluted) or add it to your cooking.

Cautions:

Our hydrosols do not contain preservatives so should be treated as a perishable product. Keep refrigerated to lengthen shelf life. Shelf life varies between 1-2 years.
