What is a hydrosol?

A hydrosol is the water that is left over when plants are steam-distilled to release their essential oils. Hydrosols contain traces of the essential oil as well as other plant components that are only water-soluble. This makes hydrosols very special, a unique product that can’t be manufactured synthetically. Hydrosols can be used 100% pure, as a face mist, pillow mist, added to skin care products (replacing distilled water), room refresher …. the possibilities are endless.
